Shakti Chakra: The Energy Cycle

Natya revives this seminal work for a continued celebration connecting our history to our future.

It is said that the world was brought into creation from the single word “OM”. From an infinitely small particle of eternal energy was born this universe of matter. From Creation, Sustenance, and Protection through to Purification and Dissolution, we experience the energy cycle of life and return again to nothing … and everything.

The event also includes an exhibit of costumes and jewelry from past Shakti Chakra iterations; as well as treats such as Masala Chai, Hot Chocolate, samosas, and sweets.

Friday and Saturday evening performances feature the full run of this 90 minute work.

Sunday’s matinee is tailored for children and young families, with a run time of roughly 50 minutes.
